Three universities release honors lists

Five area college students were named to the dean's list or honor roll at their respective universities. These students are:

Local Residents Named To Dean's List at University of the Sciences

PHILADELPHIA, PA (07/17/2012)(readMedia)-- The following local residents have been named to the spring 2012 Dean's List at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the spring semester of 2012.

Lucas Saviello of Limerick, PA (19468), is a doctor of pharmacy student.

Jessica Thomas of Royersford, PA (19468), is a doctor of physical therapy student.

Laura Schuppert of Spring City, PA (19475), is a doctor of pharmacy student.

Scott Rogers of Royersford Named to Widener Law Dean's List

WILMINGTON, DEL. (07/17/2012)(readMedia)-- Widener University School of Law Dean Linda L. Ammons today announced the spring 2012 dean's list of students for the Delaware campus. Students named to the list earned a grade point average in the top 20 percent of their class and division for the semester.

Scott Rogers, of Royersford, PA (19468) was included on the dean's list.

The School of Law is fully accredited by the American Bar Association and holds membership in the Association of American Law Schools. Byron Davis of Spring City Named to University of Kansas Spring 2012 Honor Roll

LAWRENCE, KS (07/17/2012)(readMedia)-- More than 4,200 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earned honor roll distinction for the fall 2011 semester, including Byron Davis, of Spring City. Davis is a graduate of Owen J Roberts High School and is a senior in mechanical engineering. He was named to the School of Engineering 2012 Spring Honor Roll.

The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and in the schools of allied health; architecture, design and planning; business; education; engineering; journalism; music; nursing; pharmacy; and social welfare.

Honor roll criteria vary among the university's academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum grade-point average and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.
