PJPII Welcomes YMCA Shooting Stars

The YMCA Shooting Stars Special Needs Basketball Team got to share a special honor on Tuesday night.

The following write-up and photo was submitted to Patch by Mary Shields:

The Y-Knot Shooting Stars Special Needs Basketball team for ages K through 12, were the honorary guests at the boys varsity basketball game pre-game celebration Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Our Shooting Star Players were announced onto the court with the boys varsity team and shared in recognizing the National Anthem on the court. They shared this moment and were cheered on by all of the PJPII Students, including more than 60 of them who are also their coaches at the Spring Valley YMCA.  The Shooting Stars were so excited to be surrounded by their coaches, cheerleaders, team players and mascot.

It was a magical night and it will bring awareness to the community of the YMCA's wonderful special needs program and the amazing student-volunteer coaches at PJPII who give their time every week for these kids. This wonderful relationship was spot-lighted this evening at PJPII High School - 181 Rittenhouse Road, Royersford, PA  19468
