Spring-Ford School Board Seats New Member

Willard Cromley was chosen to fill the vacant Region 1 seat.

The Spring-Ford School District Board of Directors completed the process of appointing a new board member by swearing in Willard Cromley at Monday night's meeting. 

Cromley is a retired Spring-Ford employee, parent of two Spring-Ford alumni and a longtime district resident. 

In a video interview with Ram Country TV, Cromley said he has been participating at committee and board meetings over the last several years and wanted to take the next step in getting involved with the board.

Cromley told RCTV that he brings his 38 years of experience as a teacher, librarian and building administrator to the board and feels his experiences and community connections are a benefit to the board. 

Cromley also told RCTV that he feels the biggest challenges are "financial, of course, and common core standards."

Cromley's term begins immediately and extends until the Region 1 seat is up for election in 2013.
