Spring-Ford schools will be open for classes on a regular schedule on Thursday, school district spokesperson Phil Ellingsworth has informed Patch.
Spring-Ford Area School District Superintendent David Goodin said power had been restored to all school buildings affected by a transformer failure on Tuesday afternoon.
"Thanks to our administrative and maintenance teams, with the help of PECO Energy and Philips Brothers Electrical Contractors, the transformers have been replaced and electricity has been restored to those buildings," Goodin said. "Barring any event out of the school district's control, regularly scheduled classes will resume tomorrow, Thursday, September 20."
