It’s time to lace up those running shoes for a good cause. Spring-Ford Educational Foundation will host its first 5K Run/Walk and Kid Fun Run April 11 at 6:30 p.m. outside the high school.

The foundation is currently seeking sponsors to help with the event. Levels of monetary sponsorships range from $50 to $1,000, although merchandise and refreshment donations are also welcomed. There is something that everyone can do to help! Businesses, organizations or individuals are all welcomed to donate to the 5K.

Sponsor levels include Ram Nation Sponsor for $1,000, Vegas Gold Sponsor for $500, Oxford Blue Sponsor for $100 and Goodie Bag Sponsor for $50. Donations of food, drinks, cups, plates and other refreshments are welcomed.

The Goodie Bag Sponsor allows for your product samples to be in give-away bags and your logo on pre-race promotions. Each level of donations from there increases your opportunity to advertise at the 5K.

The ultimate sponsorship is the Ram Nation Sponsor. It provides a company with a 4x4 inch logo space on each race shirt; recognition in the race program; an area to hang your company banner; a product showcase stand; four complimentary race t-shirts; and an opportunity to sign up early for the 2015 race as a sponsor.

All proceeds will go towards the foundation’s Senior Impact Award.

“Spring-Ford Area School District has been honoring individuals nominated by graduating seniors who have been instrumental in making an impact on their educational experience since the Class of 2006,” Assistant Superintendent Allyn Roche said. He is coordinating the 5K event. “These individuals are part of our district and make life-changing impacts on our students by inspiring, teaching and understanding them.”

The educational foundation’s main goal is to secure resources from individuals, corporations, community organizations and foundations to be distributed in support of programs for the benefit of the students and residents in the Spring-Ford Area School District. These resources will be used in a generally charitable way to enhance the quality of the Spring-Ford Area School District community.
