Spring-Ford SD Offers Internet Safety Workshop

'You Can't Erase it' and 'Be Web Wise' will be offered in early December.

The Spring-Ford Area School District is offering several Internet Safety Workshops in early December, designed to educate parents how to keep their children safe online, and how to identify cyber bullying.

The “You Can’t Erase It” and “Be Web Wise” workshops are presented  by the Weller Health Education Center, made possible by a grant from the Pottstown Health and Wellness Foundation.

All parents of students in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend workshops on Dec. 3, 4, 5 and 6 at times ranging from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. various schools throughout the district; visit the Spring-Ford Area School District website for specific dates and times.

At the workshops, parents will learn about keeping computer hardware healthy, protecting children online, recognize warning signs for unhealthy internet behaviors and cyber bullying, establish guidelines for Internet usages, and more.

Children are not permitted at the workshops; babysitting is not provided.
