Three Spring-Ford Alums Graduated From Ursinus College

Katherine Fegan, Ashley Kimble and Lauren Romer graduated from Ursinus College during commencement exercises on Friday, May 10, on the college campus. More than 410 students received bachelor’s degrees.

Katherine Fegan earned a bachelor of science degree in Biology. While at Ursinus, Fegan was elected to Beta Beta Beta, the national honor society for the biological sciences. She was executive director of Airband, an entertainment competition that raises money for local charities, and participated in an educational program to prevent suicide.

She is the daughter of Robert and Jeanne Fegan of Collegeville.

Ashley
Kimble graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish. While at Ursinus, Kimble was named to the Dean’s List and elected to The Whitians, a women’s honor society, and Beta Beta Beta, the national honor society for the biological sciences. Her independent researched earned her Distinguished Honors in the Biology department. At commencement, she received The Outstanding Research Student in Biology Award.

She was a Summer Fellow, a tutor for America Reads, a volunteer for Relay for Life, and president of the Newman Society, a Catholic-based organization. She completed an internship with Pediatric Associates of Plymouth, Inc.

Kimble has been accepted to Drexel University College of Medicine’s M.D. program.

She is the daughter of Dave and Rose Marie Kimble from Limerick.

Lauren Romer earned a bachelor of arts degree in History and a minor in Latin. A graduate of Spring-Ford High School, Lauren is the daughter of John and Sharon Romer from Royersford.
