Ursinus College International Film Festival Presents "678" on Dec. 5

Ursinus College’s International Film Festival concludes with 678 on Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Olin Auditorium. The film, which is in Arabic with English subtitles, was directed by Mohamed Diab.

The problem of sexual harassment in Egypt is the basis for this 2010 film, which is based on real events and tells the stories of three women: a mother (Boshra) who endures unwanted groping on her daily commute on the bus; an artist (Nelly Karim) who is attacked by a group a men at a soccer game; and a stand-up comic (Nahed El Sebai) who files the country’s first sexual harassment lawsuit after being dragged by the chest by a man in a moving car.

The film will be followed by discussion and light refreshments in Olin 104.
