Get a Glimpse of Life as a Soldier at Valley Forge

A reenactment is set for this weekend.

Reenactors and historians will offer a glimpse of what life was like as a soldier encamped at Valley Forge during a special event this weekend.

"Patience and Fidelity" is a free event that focuses on the Fourth Connecticut Regiment, which kept incredibly detailed notes that still survive more than 200 years later.

Visitors will able to interact with reenactors and historians portraying members of the regiment, and will "learn about army provisions and the dedication of the soldiery," the National Park Service said.
