RiverFest Offers Fun Along the Schuylkill, Downtown

The 6th Annual Schuylkill River Festival at Riverfront Park in Pottstown will occur on Oct. 12 from noon to 6 p.m., with additional fun planned for downtown from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The day is chocked full of events, including kayaking and river trips from noon to 4:30, a tour of the River of Revolutions Interpretive Center from Noon to 6 p.m., a historical river walk at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., lots of activities for children, musicians and local artists and crafters.

There are costs associated with the river activities, but there are many free activities throughout the day.

In the evening, entertainment will continue on downtown Main Street with participating restaurants, as well as a musical at the Steel River Playhouse and live music.
