Spring-Ford Community Theater Presents Glass Menagerie

The performance will include alumni of the theater program.

The Spring-Ford Community Theater will present Glass Menagerie Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Spring-Ford Eight Grade Center, marking a special alumni-senior production.

Spring-Ford Student Steph Hodge, who performs in the four-person cast, said on Ram Country TV’s The Dish said that this is a new type of performance for the theather.

“I asked the director if we could do a show over the winter break because a lot of the college students who have done shows there before are home,” said Hodge.

The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams was chosen as the show, and the students and alumni spent much of their Christmas breaks practicing.

“This is the first year the community theater has done in years with a more mature cast,” said Hodge.

Hodge added that since the The Glass Menagerie is on the curriculum for ninth graders, part of the cast visited the students just prior to winter break to discuss the book and to have some readings.

Tickets are $10 per person for the show.
