Accident Occurs at Airport Last Week

A plane left the runway in an accident at the Pottstown-Limerick Airport last week.

  The following comes from Brandie Kessler of The Pottstown Mercury: LIMERICK — An official with the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed Friday that a plane went of the runway at Pottstown-Limerick Airport Thursday afternoon, causing substantial damage to the airplane. The FAA spokesperson said the plane was a Cessna 172, occupied by one person who “was doing a touch-and-go landing” when the plane went off the side of a runway “and into some woods.” The pilot, whose name was not released by the FAA, was not injured, the spokesperson said.
