Thanksgiving's weather is expected to be dry and quiet as we continue our peaceful weather pattern around the region.
The weather over the next week is expected to continue the quiet trend established about ten days ago. While temperatures have bounced around between mild and chilled, the weather has been dry and tranquil daily. That will continue, although this week will feature a moderate trend in temperatures each afternoon. Thanksgiving and Black Friday should be particularly nice, with Thanksgiving probably a bit sunnier and Black Friday a bit milder of the two respective days. Afternoon highs each day could flirt with or exceed 60 degrees. Enjoy! A cold shot is lurking for the end of the Thanksgiving weekend and could linger into early next week. The chill will be nothing brutal, but highs may return to the 40s for Sunday and Monday of next week. …

The prospect of two rain events in the coming week looms over the ability to get out of town and get back into town without the potential for some delays at the airport.
In all reality, the coming week will be pretty mild, despite coming down in temperature a few notches from Sunday's mid-60s and mix of sunshine and some high clouds. The weather landscape this week features the prospect of two storm systems, one for Tuesday night into Wednesday and a second that could impact the East Coast as early as Sunday evening. That's the bad news. The good news is shopping on Black Friday will be enjoyable in terms of weather or enjoyable if you're not into shopping at the mall, like I am (regardless of the weather) as temperatures should hit 50 or just above that with mostly sunny skies. Ii have often wondered about the kind of people that camp out to spend their money on junk they don't need on Black Friday. It is a sad commentary on our society. I for one won't be anywhere near any store or mall on Friday. I would rather pay a bit more then push through lines and crowds of low class savages fighting over a $30 blueray player.   more ›
