A Royersford man was arraigned on Tuesday for allegations of an assault on a 3-year-old
Earl Schlichter, 54 of the 300 block of Main Street in Royersford was arrested on Tuesday for simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment by physical contact, according to Royersford police. Schlichter was taken into custody on Tuesday and arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Walter Gadzicki Jr. Schlichter allegedly assualted a 3-year-old child that is his girlfriend's grandson, according to the police report released by the Royersford Police Department. Officer Mark Smythe confirmed Schlichter and the boy's grandmother live together. The child was taken to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for treatment and released later on Tuesday evening.
