The OJR graduate attends Cazenovia College in New York State.
This press release was sent by Cazenovia College. The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host the Annual First Year Seminar Exhibition, Dec. 10 through the end of the term. This eclectic exhibition features work by students in the Class of 2016. An opening reception is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 10 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., with refreshments sponsored by the First Year Program. Kelsey L. Ruth, of Spring City, Pa., is a management major, and a member of Professor Elizabeth Moore's "Home Sweet Home" seminar. Students studied the evolution of the home in a historical context. At Monday's school board meeting, the board honored twelve special students.
Spring-Ford Area High School's senior class has many achievements to their names, and at Monday night's board meeting another group of honors was announced. Dr. Jeffrey Kollar, the 12th Grade House Principal, and Superintendent Dr. David Goodin recognized twelve students who achieved high honors in the National Merit Scholarship program. Six seniors - Nikhil Bhat, Kayla Dwyer, Nicholas Goman, Amanda Jurewicz, Meghan Keshav and Rachel Schwarz - were named Semi-Finalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. Out of more than 1.5 million students who took the qualifying test, these six scored in the top 16,000. They will go on to be considered for one of the 8,300 National Merit Scholarships to be awarded later this school year…

Its great to hear this news. This is the highest number of students I have heard of from springford. However, it does expose the gender gap in education. 3 of 12 are male. But who cares anyway?   more ›
