Spring-Ford High School Graduation Postponed

Due to possible rains and thunderstorms, the Spring-Ford High School graduation ceremony has been postponed.

Spring-Ford Area School District Executive and Board Secretary Diane Fern reports to Patch that the Spring-Ford High School graduation ceremony has been postponed to Friday evening at the same time and location. The ceremony has been postponed due to potential rain and thunderstorms. Students are expected to arrive at 6 p.m. The ceremony starts at 7 p.m. at Coach McNelly Stadium. Should it rain on Friday, the ceremony will be moved to inside the 10-12 Center. Seating will be issued in the auditorium, cafeteria and gym.

Brooke Elementary 4th-Graders Say Farewell

It's that time of year again... commencement time! Spring-Ford's Brooke Elementary fourth-graders celebrate their graduation to the 5-6 Center.

The following release was written by Gina Romanelli. The above photos were submitted by Andreina Erwin. The fourth grade students at Brooke Elementary School celebrated their promotion to fifth grade at Manderach Park on June 5. Every year, the Brooke Home and School sponsors a celebration for the current fourth grade class moving to fifth grade. The students participate in organized games, enjoy foods from local restaurants, dance to music provided by DJ Dan Frantz, and utilize the equipment and fields of Manderach Park. It is an enjoyable activity for the students, teachers, and parents that attend!

MCCC Releases Thursday's Commencement Info

Class of 2012 at Montgomery County Community College is the largest in the school's history. Dr. William E. Trueheart will deliver the commencement speech.

The following information about Thursday's Montgomery County Community College Commencement was submitted by Alana J. Mauger, representing the college. Montgomery County Community College will hold its 45th Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at its Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell for the largest graduating class in the College’s history.  Dr. William E. Trueheart, president and chief executive officer of Achieving the Dream, Inc. will deliver the 2012 Commencement keynote address A total of 1,563 students will receive associate’s degrees and certificates during the College’s 45th Commencement exercises, which return to the College’s Central Campus in Blue Bell after being held in Valley Forge for the past two …
