A look back at the season that was for Spring-Ford High School wrestling with head coach Tim Seislove

Record: 22-4 Postseason: 3rd in Districts as Team. Lost in First Round of States to Parkland. Jason Dombrosky qualified for Individual State Tournament (lost first match to eventual champion in preliminary match, and lost in wrestlebacks to the seventh place winner). Nine qualifiers for Individual District Tournament, five qualifiers for Southeast Regional Tournament. Boys Golf Season Recap

A look back at the season that was for boys golf with head coach Jeff Mast.

Record: 9-5 (8-5) Postseason: Bennett Detweiler won PAC-10 Individual Championship. John Foley, Tyler Keim, Detweiler went to districts; Foley and Keim made it to day two, but did not advance to regionals. Team did not qualify past day one of districts (10th out of 13 - only one team goes). Awards/Accomplishments: Foley, a freshman, was the lowest scoring PAC-10 golfer at districts and missed going to regionals by one stroke. "I tell the kids, it's probably tougher to get to regionals from District One than to get from regionals to states, just because of the intense competition we have here in District One golf," said head coach Jeff Mast. Record: 10-3 (6-0 Conference) Tournament Play: Merion Catholic Invitational [no statistics], Central Dauphin First Annual Girls Golf Classic [third place]. Postseason: Maddie Gilmartin (second day - tied for ninth) and Danielle Freed (first day) in individual tournament. Team didn't make it past first day. "Maddy" was actually on our radar since the day I started covering Spring-Ford sports, as she's an incredible talent with an existing legacy for the Rams four-year-old girls team. The Rams' golfer-extraordinaire won PAC-10 Individuals for the second year in a row this year and went to the second day of districts last year. With districts starting today, Gilmartin hopes to go on to regionals in her senior season. Girls' Soccer Looks to be Complete Team

A season preview for Rams girls' soccer.

The Spring-Ford girls' soccer team is still in preseason training and preparing itself for bigger goals in 2011-2012. With a new head coach in Sheldon Chamberlain, combined with returning assistants Kevin Frey and Denise Johnston, the team is gearing for an above-.500 season this time around. Last year, the Rams went 9-9 and 4-3 in the PAC-10, missing post-season play, but still participating in Districts. The girls lost in Districts to Bishop Shanahan, but Frey thinks the biggest loss came to a big-time rival. "Biggest loss was a 3-2 loss to Owen J. Roberts in extra time," Frey said. "It was a tough one because we didn’t play well the first game of the season. The second game [against them], we played really well and put it together but …
