A briefing of police activity in Limerick Township

The Limerick Township Police Department logged 149 incidents between May 7 and 13. Of them, nine were deemed false alarms. On May 5 at 1:49 p.m., Officer John Cassel Jr. was dispatched to 165 W. Ridge Pike, lot 242 for a hit and run in progress. He was told a burgundy Monte Carlo struck two flower pots at lot 233 and parked at lot 242. The caller indicated the driver may be intoxicated. Upon arrival, Cassel observed a Mark Alan Richardson, 57, sitting on his front step smoking a cigarette. "I don't know what the problem is," Richardson said to police. "All I did was run over a kid's scooter. I'll pay the $29 for it. The kid shouldn't have it in the street anyway." Witnesses on scene told Cassel that Richardson never hit a scooter and that …

The Limerick Township Police Department logged 197 incidents between April 23 and 29. Of them, 18 were deemed false alarms. On April 25 at 11:07 p.m., Officer Shawn Pancoast was dispatched to Kohl's for an alleged retail theft. Upon arrival, Pancoast spoke with the Loss Prevention Department. Representatives from the department said a Pamela Destefano, 46 of Schwenksville, was seen on surveillance switching tags on six articles of clothing and two housewares appliances. She also reportedly had a Hallmark card that was not paid for. The value of the nine items was $272.50. The police report said Destefano only paid $123.42. This was her first retail theft offense. Police: SC Rapper Arrested for Harassing 100.3 FM Employees... Again

Benjamin Russell, aka "Never Jealous," is suspected of threatening employees of Radio One in Conshohocken, after he pleaded guilty to harassing them in May 2011.

A 39-year-old Spring City man who goes by the rap name "Never Jealous" is back in trouble with the law after harassing radio producers for the second time in a year. According to a police report, Benjamin Russell, of the 400 block of S. Main Street, Spring City, entered the Conshohocken-based offices of Radio One on April 17 and began to harass employees. Russell was wearing a noose around his neck and told employees he was there to prove his innocence of previous crimes, the report said. Russell was first arrested in May 2011 after he called and approached two DJs of the company's popular 100.3 "The Beat" station and demanded that they play his music, according to the Springford Reporter Valley Item. The Limerick Township Police Department logged 151 incidents between April 9 and 15. Of them, 21 were deemed false alarms. Police reported responding Officer Christopher Iochum being dispatched to 1241 Main St. in Linfield on April 7 at 1:34 a.m. for a man sleeping on the grass. Upon arrival, Iochum confirmed the complaint, reporting that he was sleeping about three feet from the road. When police woke the man up, they said he was confused, but told them he was at the Railroad Street Bar. He was identified by police as Justin D. Reid, 31 of Azalea Circle in Limerick. Iochum reported Reid was stumbling and submitted to a PBT, which allegedly showed positive results for alcohol consumption. A citation for public drunkenness will be mailed to…

The Limerick Township Police Department logged 154 incidents between April 2 and April 8. Of them, 20 were deemed false alarms. On April 7, Officer Shawn Pancoast was dispatched to 231 W. Ridge Pike for a theft at Price's Moving & Storage. It was determined that the following items were stolen, but there are no further leads in the case: On April 7 at 7:02 p.m., Officer Brian Tyler investigated a retail theft at Solstice Sunglasses at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets. It was reported that a tall black male, 250 pounds, wearing a grey sweat suit, white shoes and carrying an Aero bag, left toward Ruby Tuesday with a pair of $220 Gucci red and white sunglasses without paying. The Limerick Township Police Department logged 168 incidents between March 26 and April 1. Of them, 19 were deemed false alarms. On March 23 at 7:11 p.m., responding Officer John Cassel Jr. was dispatched to Kohl's for a retail theft. Upon arrival, Mary Louis Trabocco, 73 of Collegeville, was in custody of loss prevention. The loss prevention officer reviewed security tape to reveal that Trabocco removed her "old, dirty, black slippers" and put a $38.99 pair of sandals on her feet. She then hid the old slippers behind boxes on the shelves and continued shopping. She made a purchase, but did not make an attempt to pay for the sandals. Trabocco left the store and was approached by LP to which she admitted the theft. She had no prior arrests …

The Limerick Township Police Department logged 227 incidents between March 12 and 18. Of them, 20 were deemed false alarms. On March 13 at 4:09 p.m., Corporal Fitz Duffy was dispatched to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets for a retail theft in progress from the Diesel Outlet Store. Upon arrival, Duffy was told a male subject dropped the $201 black leather jacket he stole from the store while on the run to the parking lot. The suspect was never found. On March 17 at 2:18 p.m., Sergeant Paul Marchese was dispatched to Solstice Sunglasses at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets for a retail theft. Management revealed that an Asian male was seen on tape taking a $139 pair of Gucci sunglasses. He left with another male without paying for the glasses…

Royersford Police Chief Kevin Schurr sent in the following report On March 10 at 12:40 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at Tom's Bar & Grille at 772 Walnut St. Upon arrival, they found Craig Marshall, 36 of Main Street in Royersford, to be intoxicated. Witnesses said he attempted to start fights with male patrons inside the establishment and to have "verbally harassed" female patrons in the bar by making obscene comments. Marshall was removed from the bar area prior to police arrival. He was issued a citation for public drunkenness. The Limerick Township Police Department logged 186 incidents between March 5 and 11. The Limerick Township Police Department logged 142 incidents between Feb. 13 and 19. Of them, 20 were deemed false alarms. On Feb. 17 at 9:59 a.m., Corporal Fitz Duffy was dispatched to Staybridge Suites, where he found a man and a woman in a white PT Cruiser, which was the only one of its kind in the lot. The two were sleeping in the car. Duffy woke them up, and they told him they slept there all night, but didn't know what time they arrived at the location. The man, identified as Scott Anthony Dahms, 26 of Pottstown, was found to have had an arrest warrant in his name.
