UPDATE: Man Still Sought in Throat Slashing Attempted Murder

Thomas Troy Young, pictured here, is wanted by police for the attempted murder of a family member.

The Hatfield Township Police Department is requesting information concerning the whereabouts of Thomas Troy Young, according to a release on Thursday afternoon. "There is an active criminal arrest warrant charging Young with attempted murder and related offenses," said the Hatfield Police release. "He is believed to be operating a black 2009 Honda Accord which bears Pennsylvania registration GKS8099. The vehicle is owned by the victim and was taken immediately after the assault. Hatfield Township detectives are currently pursuing leads in an attempt to locate him." Young's alleged victim, a family member, is still recovering. Small Crowd Protests Obama Visit to MontCo

About three dozen people lined Bethlehem Pike in Hatfield Friday.

Holding signs that read "Hey middle class, they are coming for your $ next," and "Taxing the rich hurts everyone," a group of about three dozen people protested President Barack Obama's visit to Hatfield Friday morning. The protestors gathered in the vacant lot of a closed down gas station near the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Unionville Road in Hatfield, waving signs and garnering the occasional honk in return. According to multiple news sources, President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Hatfield on Friday as part of a tour to make a public case for his administration's plan for addressing the impending "fiscal cliff." So what is the fiscal cliff? It's the changes expected to go into effect when the 2011 Budget Control Act expires at the end of the year.
