This small family-owned gym is not your typical workout place.
Walk in to High Voltage Gym in Linfield and you'll notice right away this is not like other larger gyms in the area. There is a small group of machines in the next room, and a very large mixed martial arts ring in another room. However, owner Terri Arthur says that what makes High Voltage different is its family-oriented style. "I like to remember names and goals," Arthur said. "That way, someone walks in I greet them by name and ask, 'how's your work [toward a goal] going?'" "It gives it a personal touch, you're not a number here," Arthur said. High Voltage Gym in Linfield will be hosting a Father's Day cruise night to benefit 5-year-old Victoria, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
The following flyer and information was posted on High Voltage Gym of Linfield's Facebook page: Cruise Night on Father's Day, June 17th to benefit Victoria, a 5 year old little girl from Pottsgrove that is battling a malignant brain tumor. To read all about Victoria look up her website at victory4victoria.org. This is a chance to dust of your cars, bikes or trucks and "cruise" them into the DQ in Royersford on Father's Day. We are asking for a $10 donation per vehicle to help Victoria's family out with hospitalization costs. Our karate students will be doing a martial arts demonstration at 5:00pm and Dairy Queen will be donating a portion of their proceeds from the evening to Victoria's fund. I started Training with Morgan a few weeks ago and never in my life have I felt so good. He is tough, but they know how to encourage you to do your very best. I am still lightyears behind where I should be, but I am confident that through their training program I will find my way back!   more ›
