The alleged incident occurred on Jan. 19 at the Phoenixville McDonald's.
A Mont Clare man was arrested after police say he fell asleep, drunk, in a McDonald’s drive-thru. According to court documents, on Jan. 19 at 2 a.m., Phoenixville Police received report of a man asleep in a pickup truck at the McDonald’s fast food restaurant on 651 Nutt Road in Phoenixville. Upon arrival, the officer noted that the driver, Shane Yonkoske, 27, smelled like alcohol, had glassy eyes, and seemed lethargic. Yonkoske allegedly failed field sobriety testing, and was arrested for DUI and taken to Phoenixville Hospital to have blood drawn for testing, said court documents. He was charged with four counts of DUI, an additional count of careless driving, and is awaiting preliminary hearing, said the report.

The new McDonald's on West Ridge Pike in Limerick opened at 11:00am Tuesday.
Ronald may be under pressure to hang up his clown shoes, but the brand he represents marches onward. With a smell of fresh paint still lingering in the air, the new McDonald's store on West Ridge Pike in Limerick opened at 11:00am today. Equipped with two drive-through lanes, the restaurant is open for business 24 hours a day. By noon today, about two dozen customers had found their way to the register, but larger crowds seem sure to follow. Perhaps to the disappointment of some local stay-home parents, there are no playground facilities at the restaurant. The store is owned by John and Lynn Shellenberger of Chester Springs (pictured), who also own the McDonald's restaurants in Royersford and in Phoenixville.

The signs are going up at a new, 24-hour McDonald's location on West Ridge Pike.
For a few weeks, the McDonald's location on Lewis Road in Royersford has displayed "help wanted" signs for a new, 24-hour McDonald's location in Limerick. The new McDonald's, on West Ridge Pike next to Walgreen's (and across the street from rival Sonic), is not open yet, but from the look of things, the deep fat fryer will be fired up pretty soon. Most of the signs are up, and the drive thru menu boards are ready to be festooned with images of Big Macs and Sausage McGriddles. Reached by telephone Friday morning, a spokesperson for McDonald's said that the new store is scheduled to open on Tuesday, May 31. What say you, Spring-Ford? Are you happy to have another source of Happy Meals? Will the lure of late night McNuggets bring you to the…
