Same mistakes – turnovers, terrible tackling, etc. – haunt Philadelphia Eagles in season-ending loss Sunday to New York Giants.
After another ugly loss Sunday, this one a season-ender to the New York Giants, just how long will it take for Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid to be put out of his misery? He might be gone by the time you read this column. This loss wasn't even worth mentioning the final score, but the Giants put up more than 40 points as the Eagles made the same mistakes they made all year – terrible tackling, turnovers and horrible pass coverage. (Ok, it was 42-7.) Eli Manning looked more like Peyton Manning Sunday, tossing five touchdown passes in a game that the Giants needed to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Reid, on the other hand, was wrapping up his 14th season as coach, and the fans and media and everyone else have been calling for his…

The Philadelphia Eagles' games against the New York Giants always end in dramatic fashion. This one was 19-17 on a missed field goal in the closing seconds.
Back and forth. Back and forth. The Philadelphia Eagles played one of their classic games against the New York Giants, where the games are nail biters that go right down to the wire and end in dramatic fashion. This game was no different. Eli Manning, with 21 game-winning drives, had the ball with 1:43 left after the Iggles regained the lead following Alex Henery's fourth field goal of the game. With some back-and-forth pass interference flags, the Giants were in field goal position for a 54-yarder. They missed. But the Eagles had called a timeout. The second kick looked good, but just fell short. Eagles win 19-17, giving the Birds a 3-1 record with wins overall by four points. This wasn't an easy game. This wasn't a pretty game. But this …

It's been the same sad story from Coach Andy Reid after every loss and that story is getting old.
You've heard it a thousand times if you're a Philadelphia Eagles fan. After every loss, Coach Andy Reid will field questions from the media and, basically, you don't even need to hear Reid speak if you've followed him throughout his tenure. Because what comes out of Reid's mouth is the same sad song and dance -- and it's an old act. "I need to put my players in a better position to succeed." "We need to do a better job." "I didn't do enough of a job to prepare the team and that's on me. I need to do a better job." "Obviously, we need to play better." While the Birds enter Sunday night's game against the New York Giants at 2-1, this is a must game -- especially after last week's blowout by the Arizona Cardinals. Like textbook Reid, the …
