As Capitol Hill debates gun control, sales and registrations in the county are booming.

Business is booming. Those in the gun-selling industry are finding a good deal of action in Montgomery County. According to an article in the Pottstown Mercury, the counter in spots like the French Creek Outfitters has seldom dropped below a dozen customers all day long. In the wake of the debates on Capitol Hill and President Barrack Obama's recommendations on gun control, the sales and registrations in the county have been on the rise. Many makes and models are sold out at local gun shops. "When asked about AR-15 rifles, one employee shook his head. 'We’ve been sold out of those for weeks,' he said," quoted the Mercury article. Leder hosted $50,000-per-person fundraiser during which Romney called 47 percent of voters 'victims.'
Gov. Mitt Romney said in a video recently released by liberal magazine Mother Jones that 47 percent of American voters consider themselves "victims." "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," said Romney in the video. "All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Affordable Care Act, known colloquially as "Obamacare," upholding the constitutionality of the act in a ruling Thursday morning, according to a report from the Supreme Court website. Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senators released reactions to the ruling. Sen. Pat Toomey (R): “I am extremely disappointed. With the Presidential election five months away, volunteers are now needed to join the Obama campaign at the Area 4 Democratic Campaign Headquarters, 486 E. Main St. in Collegeville.
