The following release was submitted by Spring City Councilman and State Representative Candidate Mike Hays: Gov. Corbett signed into law yesterday a bill that will make it more difficult for Pennsylvanians to exercise one of their most basic rights - voting. House Bill 934, known as the voter ID bill, will mandate that all Pennsylvanians present valid photo identification each and every time they cast a ballot in the state. Despite claims by supporters, there are very few instances of voter fraud in this state - or anywhere. Furthermore, the elderly and poor are less likely to possess photo identification.
