Fans Push Eagles: Bring Back the Kelly Green

Local fan starts petition to bring back retro jerseys for The Birds.

Do you miss them? Did you love the Eagles so much more when they were in a kelly green jersey?  Many fans have come to dislike the new "midnight green," black/charcoal and white design. Perhaps it is the dismal last season, or maybe it just is a longing for yesteryear, but some fans have decided to do something about it. According to an article on philly.com, "Cranekicker," a local twitter personality, has started a petition to bring back the kelly green uniforms of the past. The Eagles had donned the kelly green (with silver eagles' wings on the helmet) uniforms from 1973 to 1995, according to the Eagles year-by-year history. Main Street 900 Block Discussed at Royersford Public Zoning Hearing

Royersford Borough Hall was a packed house Tuesday night for a public hearing held regarding the possible rezoning of the 900 Block of Main Street. Residents voiced strong opinions and left largely unsatisfied.

Residents on the 900 Block of Main Street in Royersford were invited to attend a public hearing at Borough Hall to voice their opinions on Tuesday night. The discussion was centered around whether the current residential zoning of each property should be changed to office residential. Section 2304 of the Borough Code states in order for a change to be made in zoning, a petition needs to be signed with 50-percent of the block in favor of the change, which was satisfied by residents in July. Royersford's Planning Commission met in July to review recommendations from the Montgomery County Planning Commission, which recommended against the change to keep with the nature of a borough residential appearance and to prevent extra traffic expected …
