Honda is recalling 180,000 vehicles in the US for a brake issue.
Honda has announced it is recalling 180,000 vehicles in the US, according to a report in CNN Money. The vehicles are being recalled for "a problem that could cause the car to brake when the driver isn't pressing the brake pedal." The 2005 model years of the Honda Pilot, and Acura RL sedans, and the 2006 model year of the Acrura MDX SUVs. According to the Honda press release on the recall, "If an electrical capacitor on the VSA control unit was damaged during manufacture, the VSA system could malfunction and apply a small amount of brake force for a fraction of a second, without any input by the driver." Correction: The Honda Odyssey is not being recalled in US markets, but is being recalled in international markets.

BMW has recalled more than 30,000 of its X5 SUVs in the US, model years 2007 to 2010, according to a report in CBS Philly. The SUVs have been recalled to "fix an oil leak that can knock out the power-assisted braking." According to an article in Reuters, only the vehicles with V8 engines are affected by this recall. This news was released just days before BMW announced a recalled of approximately 750,000 more of its vehicles, 570,000 of them in North America. Wegmans Food Markets has recalled the Wegmans branded all-purpose bleached flour, according to a report in the Democrat and Chronicle. The flour, which was sold in 5-pound packages with a best by date of 12/20/2013, may contain small blue polyurethane balls from the product's sifting equipment. The flour was sold in store between Dec. 24 and Feb. 15. Along with the store-branded flour, Wegmans is also recalled Wegmans branded bread products, including whole wheat pita bread, wheat hot dog and hamburger rolls, whole grain bread and more, that may contain thin pieces of wire mesh. Children's Triaminic and Theraflu Warming Relief Syrups are being recalled because the child resistance caps have been reported to not close properly.
Approximately 2.3 million units of children's Triaminic cough syrups and Theraflu Warming Relief Syrups are being recalled because the child-resistance caps can "fail to function properly and enable the cap to be removed by a child with the tamper-evident seal in place, posing a risk of unintentional ingestion and poisoning," according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall. Target is recalling children's two-piece pajama sets due to violations of federal flammability standards. The recall involves Target branded Circo and Xhilaration children's cotton or cotton/fleece two-piece pajamas. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall, "The pajamas were also sold with a yellow hangtag that states, 'For child’s safety, garment should fit snugly. This garment is not flame resistant. Loose-fitting garment is more likely to catch fire.'" The pajama sets were sold at Target stores nationwide between August 2012 and November 2012. Consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children and return them to any Target store for a full refund.
