I don't see the primary perp getting less than 10 years just based on the number of robberies. He may be out in 8 but that still is a good amount of time he'll be off our streets. The other kid looks like he may me mentally challenged and based on his cooperation, will be out sooner and could turn his life around. My guess is the perp was using the weaker kid to drive him to do these robberies.   more ›

The Week in Review

A look back at the week that was.

It was an overly active week for our municipalities’ police departments. Two stabbings on two consecutive nights to start the week was truly not what the community wanted to hear. The assailant was never found in the Sunoco case and it could not be determined who the “stabber” was in the fight. In other news, Royersford Borough Council appointed a new councilman to the empty seat and also shared warning of capital reserve pressures. Spring-Ford had its last regular meeting of the year before reorganization and the woman responsible for the Laver Road accident has been charged by the District Attorney. Did you miss the action this week? Here are the top 12 stories:

Ginny, At the time the original post was written, we were not informed of whether or not the person was in custody or not. All we knew was that someone matching his description was in custody and the witness was taken to the scene to identify him. Chief Albany notified us this morning that it was not a match and the suspect is still on the loose. Thanks for your inquiry.   more ›
