Piyush Kumar Agarwal, 29, of Audubon, is facing numerous charges in connection with seven incidents of indecency dating back to April 6.
Lower Providence and Upper Providence police departments have announced the arrest of 29-year-old Piyush Kumar Agarwal, of Audubon, in connection with a string of indecent exposure incidents dating back to April 6. An Upper Providence detective reportedly encountered Agarwal at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday at the trailhead of the Perkiomen Trail, near the intersection of Lower Indian Head Road and Upper Indian Head Road. Agarwal was standing outside of his vehicle, with the top button of his pants unbuttoned, according to the report. The report indicates that both Agarwal and his vehicle matched the descriptions given to police by prior victims. Police then approached Agarwal and placed him in custody, the report states. Red Robin, opening on this summer on July 15, will open next to Eastern Mountain Sports. The Lite Choice, a low fat, low calorie and kosher ice cream and frozen treat shop, will open on Market Street, across from the Movie Tavern. Sublime Cupcakes will open at 141 Market Street, next to The Lite Choice, this summer.

A Royersford resident pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court on April 23 to stealing an Apple iPhone from an Upper Providence Verizon store. Michael Charles Kohl, age 27, of the 200 block of Main Street, was sentenced to three years' probation and is required to pay back the $649 value of the phone. Kohl pleaded guilty to a first degree misdemeanor count of theft. The 2012 theft was noticed by employees of the store, who reported it to authorities. Police were able to track the phone to Kohl, who later admitted to selling the phone on Craigslist. For more on the story, visit the Times Herald.

Limerick Township Health Inspections Piazza Presto, Dairy Queen, Lucky Lab Tavern, Rita's Water Ice, and Vince & Tony's among those inspected in March. Royersford Borough Health Inspections Annamarie's, Iced by Betsy, Suzy Jo Donuts and Tom's Bar and Grille among establishments inspected in March. Upper Providence Health Inspections Arnold's Family Fun Center, California Tortilla, Starbucks, WIBS Wings, Ribs and More, and Zoe's Kitchen inspected in March.

An Upper Providence resident was sentenced Wednesday to one to three years in jail on charges of aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person following a February 2012 incident at Victory Park in Royersford Borough. According to a story in The Reporter, Judge Steven T. O'Neill of the Court of Common Pleas handed down the sentence on Mark Watson, 48, of the 100 block of Orchard Court, after Watson was convicted of the charges in December. Watson allegedly attacked a former girlfriend who, after arriving at the park to meet with him and discuss their relationship, found him with another female friend. A Tuesday afternoon fire burned a property on Kline Road in Upper Providence Township, destroying two small sheds in the yard and damaging a wood pile and other items. The emergency call came in at approximately 3:40 p.m. Several area residents reported seeing black smoke in the air. At least eight fire companies responded, including five tankers, along with several ambulance crews. Upper Providence fire marshal Joshua Overholt said that the homeowner told firefighters that he was burning trash in a barrel. Overholt could not confirm if the barrel tipped over or if the wind blew burning debris into the yard. Overholt said that Upper Providence Township ordinances prohibit open burning. Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park, opened Friday in Oaks.
With 19,000 sq. ft. of trampolines, one of the largest in the country, Sky Zone in Oaks, which opened on Friday, March 22, offers something for kids of all ages. Within the facility, located at 122 Mill Rd, next to the Philadelphia Rock Gym, there's a large court for open jump, a fan pit, the Sky Slam, four dodgeball courts, and space for a kids court for the smaller jumpers. Jumpers are separated by height, so children under 40 inches stay in the kids court. In the large court, jumpers are also separated by height. Events Manager, Pat Dobslaw, told Patch that the facility is certified by the State of Pennsylvania for safety, with court monitors - the trampoline lifeguards - at each court and three at the large court.
