Case Closed: More Details on Church and Main Accident

Responding officer Brian Tyler gives Patch an update on Monday night's accident.

Unfamiliarity with the area is allegedly the cause of a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday night. The dispatch came in shortly after 9:30 p.m. in which two vehicles collided on Main Street and Church Road in Limerick. Responding Officer Brian Tyler originally did not know why the woman driving a white Ford Contour was driving over the double yellow lines initially, but upon follow up, he got the story. "Not much changed," Tyler said. "She said she wasn't familiar with the roadway. I guess the bridge being out in Royersford, she had to come down Main Steet there. The road curved slightly to the right there and once she realized the road was curving, she tried turning. But, since the road was wet, she slid into the opposing lane…

Two-Vehicle Accident Disrupts Main and Church

A Monday night accident restricted Main Street and Church Road in Limerick to one lane.

Limerick Police received a request to respond to a multi-vehicle accident around 9:35 p.m. on Monday night. According to responding officer Brian Tyler, two people were taken to the hospital as a precautionary. One man was suffering shortness of breath, which may have been from epilepsy. There were three people total involved in the accident - two in a tan Ford Focus and one in a white Ford Contour. Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt. The accident occurred when the Contour was traveling southbound on Main Street. The Focus came around the corner and crossed the double yellow lines and struck the Contour.
