There was a lot of work done in February by board committees in the Spring-Ford Area School District.
The Spring-Ford Area School District board of education met for a work session on Tuesday night at Spring-Ford High School. The meeting was comprised mostly of committee reports, which revealed a tremendous amount of work that was done throughout the month of February. Board President Tom DiBello filled in at the curriculum and technology meetings, which were held earlier in the month. He gave full reports on both. The school board finally talked about the long-term absence of one of its members at Monday night's meeting.
At the end of the Spring-Ford Area School District board meeting on Monday night, board member Mark Dehnert spoke up about an issue that has frequented Patch for quite some time: Oh Where! Oh Where! is Clara Gudolonis? After last week's meeting, a reader joked that maybe Scooby and the Gang could help the board solve the mystery. Gudolonis last attended the Dec. 20 meeting. Before that, she hadn't attended a meeting since Sept. 19. It is reported that she has been spending time in Belgium. Why does the district now, all-of-a sudden, feel cameras are necessary at the elementary school buildings? Has something happened to sparked this need? Is this a precautionary action? An expenditure in this amount is not something to be made lightly.   more ›
