Eagleville Man Arrested for DUI, Police Say

Jordan Burnham, 23, of Eagleville, was arrested for DUI by the Pennsylvania State Police on May 8.

The following item contains information provided by the Pennsylvania State Police. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction. DUI: On May 8 at 2:20 a.m., members of the Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop of a gold, 2009 Toyota Corolla at the intersection of Lewis Road and Crown Point Drive in Limerick. The report indicated that the driver of the vehicle – identified as Jordan Burnham, 23, of Eagleville – showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Burnham was arrested for DUI, and transported to the PSP Skippack Barracks for chemical breath testing. Charges are pending in District Court 38-1-19. Local Students Take Alternative Spring Break

Two local students volunteered for charitable organizations during their vacation.

Alternative Spring Break trips are popular at many colleges. Students spend their vacations working in the US or in other countries, donating time to charitable organizations.   Two local alumni did just that on their Spring Break recently.  Joseph Ferrara, Providence College Joseph Ferrara, a resident of Spring City, PA and a member of the class of 2014 at Providence College, recently spent a week working with Habitat for Humanity as part of the College's Alternative Spring Break 2013 program. Ferrara was among more than 230 Providence College students who volunteered to spend their spring break working at Habitat home sites in 16 locations in the United States. Your Time to 'Shine' at New Limerick Salon

New hair salon, Shine opens on Ridge Pike.

After 25 years as a stylist, Kelli Angelo, owner of the new Shine Hair Salon in Limerick, has ventured out on her own to explore hair as an artistic and creative outlet. "It's time for me to shine," said Angelo. Angelo told Patch that the head is her canvas and she can change someone's entire look by changing the cut and or color of their hair. She continued that everyone is individual and that "we all have something that makes us shine." Angelo said customer service is very important to her. At Shine one stylist will stay with a client during the whole appointment, and do the shampoo, cut, color, everything. Great--seriously another salon in the 1 block area of Ridge Pk in Limerick? Not a wise business choice. 1st Salon Nova, then SAS and now Shine? And if we go yet another 1/4 mile in either direction we have Evolve and Erin. Please something other than a salon in Limerick. I wish you luck Shine, trully I do-- but I think another location might have been a better choice.   more ›

All three municipalities, and some other organzations, are having their annual Easter Egg hunts either this weekend or next!

It's Easter Egg hunt time!  Limerick Township, Royersford Borough and Spring City Borough are all having their official Easter Egg hunts on Saturday, and there are several other hunts in the area too! Pick a spot, and go search out some eggs!  Limerick Township Royersford Royersford Borough's Easter Egg Hunt will be at Victory Park on March 23 at 10 a.m. The hunt is for ages 1-10.
