Rita's Ice for AutismCelebrity scoopers from the Spring-Ford School District and area businesses are joining with Rita's Water Ice in Royersford Wednesday afternoon and evening, where 20 percent form each sale will go to the district's Education Foundation Special Needs and Autistic Support fund. BBQ DinnerHead to The Bard Complex in Spring City Friday night to raise money for Petra Community Housing by purchasing a pulled pork or chicken sandwich for eat-in or drive-through takeout. Industrial Revolution Lecture at the VFW: Gene Pisasale, a writer for The Daily Local and published author from Downingtown, will discuss Wednesday night at the VFW in Royersford the Industrial Revolution in the Philadelphia area with his presentation "Frick's Lock to Du Pont: How the Industrial Revolution Saved America." Collegeville Fire Co. Chicken Barbecue: Support the Collegeville Fire Co. on E. Fifth Avenue Saturday afternoon with its chicken barbecue event. Tickets are $9.75 for eat-in or take out.
