Royersford Borough Appoints Fire Marshal

The borough council also recognized two businesses celebrating their fiftieth anniversaries.

Royersford Borough Council introduced their new fire marshal, Craig Keffer, at Thursday's brief council meeting.  Keffer, who has lived in Royersford and Spring City his whole life, has over 20 years of service as a firefighter and is currently a lieutenant with the Royersford Fire Department.  Keffer's appointment fills the fire marshal position formerly held by Harry VanHorn, Jr., who passed away in August.  Keffer will also be taking over the position of Public Works Director. The current director, Conrad Bauer, retires this year.  Fiftieth anniversary plaques Two local businesses and their owners were recognized by Mayor John Guest at the beginning of the meeting.  Tom's Bar and Grille and Christman Jewelers both opened in 1962 and …
