Montco's Snow Predictions Lowered by NWS

County is now under a 'winter weather advisory' and not a 'winter storm warning.'

The area of Montgomery County will now likely get less snow than originally predicted. The National Weather Service has reduced the area's warning down to a "Winter Weather Advisory." Last night, the NWS issued a Winter Storm Warning, declaring that four to eight inches of snow were expected for the county. However, today's forecast lessened the report to a now-expected one to two inches. "Accumulations of snow of one to at most four inches are expected," according to the latest advisory. The newest information from the NWS, located in Mount Holly, N.J., says that travel may still be possible now. "A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties," said the advisory. "Be prepared …
