Spring City police have arrested two residents of the Highview Gardens Apartments on South Cedar Street after police were tipped off that "a clandestine drug-dealing operation was well under way," Police Chief Tony Kuklinski said in a press release sent to media on Sunday. Police said that Kalin Thomas, 20, and Melvin Hampton, 23, both of Spring City, were suspected of dealing cocaine out of the apartment that Thomas rented. Kulkliski said tips from sources within the apartment complex began the investigation. Informants were developed and controlled purchases were made from the two individuals prior to their arrest. A disturbance call resulted in felony charges.
Spring City police arrested a 49-year-old North Penn Street resident on Monday, Dec. 10 following reports of a gun being fired into a home next door. William Chomiak, of 448 North Penn Street, was arrested and charged with felony counts of discharging a firearm into a residence and aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor counts of making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. Chomiak allegedly fired twelve shots at his neighbor's home. According to a press release from Spring City police chief Anthony Kuklinski, police responded to 450 North Penn Street after the resident called 911 and reported that shots had been fired through the wall of the home. On October 16, 2012 at or around 0645 am, Officers of the Spring City Police and the Chester County Municipal Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a residential apartment in the 300 block of Main Street in Spring City. The property and its inhabitants had been the focus of an investigation for approximately 2 months. We had numerous leads from residents of the Borough as well as investigative leads that lead us to believe that there was a significant marijuana growing and distribution operation at this location. The Pottstown Mercury reports today that a 15-year-old Spring City boy has been arrested in connection with a marijuana-growing operation in the borough. Police Chief Anthony Kuklinski told the Mercury that the police had noticed an increase in suspicious drug activity along Main Street, and thanks to investigation and people giving the police tips, the department was able to pinpoint the alleged seller and arrest him. Officers seized four marijuana plants, several ounces of already-packaged marijuana, a large amount of drug paraphernalia, cash and a sawed-off shotgun from the location. Charged with felony burglary and trespassing
Spring City Police are searching for a woman who was discovered showering in a Spring City man's home on June 21. "We are still looking for her," said Spring City Police Chief Anthony Kuklinski. Jean Carver-Booz, 45, who is listed as homeless in police records, was charged by the Spring City Police with felony burglary, criminal trespass and defiant trespass on June 22. She allegedly entered the home on the 200 block of Main Street unlawfully after being told by the victim and the Court of Common Pleas to stay away from the victim and his son. Carver-Booz fled the residence on foot before police arrived. According to the police report, the victim identified her as the trespasser. Carver-Booz is well-known to local law enforcement. In 2003…

Pennsylvania Police Assistance Foundation gives department $500 in safety, first aid equipment
The Spring City Police Department on Monday received about $500 in donated equipment from the Pennsylvania Police Assistance Foundation, a Lehigh County-based non-profit that provides support and material assistance to both police departments and to the families of wounded and fallen officers. Erick Hoffman, president of the foundation, presented the equipment to borough officials at the police department on Monday afternoon. "Departments everywhere are tightening belts, cutting budgets," said Spring City Mayor Michael Weiss, who oversees the department. "Everything helps." A recap of the Nov. 7 borough council meeting.
The Spring City Borough Council met for its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 7 at Borough Hall. Among the topics at hand were Pennhurst Asylum, the 2012 budget, sanitation and surface water and the condition of the police department building. In relation to the Pennhurst Asylum Halloween Attraction, council discussed the feasibility of East Vincent Township dictating the conditions and traffic on Spring City streets - more specifically Church Street and Pennhurst Road. The finance and ordinance committee is currently in discussions on how to proceed with the dealings in the future.
