Unofficial Results: Hennessey v. Hays, 26th District

Tim Hennessey (R) is running for reelection to the PA House against challenger Michael Hays (D).

Hays Running for 26th House Seat in Light of Court Decision

The Associated Press reports that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has thrown out the assembly redistricting plan.

According to an Associated Press Report, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has thrown out the state assembly's redistricting plan calling the plan "contrary to law." According to the Associated Press, "The justices voted 4-3 to send the plan back to the Legislative Reapportionment Commission, and the majority said their opinion in the case, laying out the reasoning, would be released later." Spring City Councilman Mike Hays (D) announced last week that he would be running for the open seat in the 155th District, which had been newly redrawn to include Spring City, East Pikeland, East Brandywine, West Brandywine, Uwchlan, Upper Uwchlan, West Vincent, and parts of Phoenixville.
