The inaugural Phoenix Cup at the Holiday Inn in Towamencin was a bullseye. The event saw Lansdale Amusement Co. in Hatfield providing 40 state-of-the-art Korean-made VSPhoenix dartboards for the $22,000 dart tournament Friday at the Sumneytown Pike hotel, according to The Reporter Online. The newspaper reports the digital dart machines have remote-play capabilities — you can challenge someone in another country from your neighborhood bar via a special online card — and are complete with surround sound speakers and 26-inch HD monitors. The tournament is sponsored by Phoenix Darts Co. and world champion dart master John Kuczynski, of Zion Grove, PA.
