Gun Charges Pending on Spring City Man

According to a Nov. 1 article by Brandie Kessler of the Pottstown Mercury, 24-year-old Brian L. Richardson of Spring City, may be facing gun charges for pointing a gun at his girlfriend after allegedly hitting and choking her on Monday.

A Spring City man who allegedly hit and choked his girlfriend before pointing a gun at her and threatening to kill her was charged with felony aggravated assault and related offenses.

Brian L. Richardson, 24, of 102 Riverside Drive, was incarcerated in Chester County Prison after his arraignment before District Judge James V. DeAngelo. DeAngelo set Richardson's bail at $50,000 cash.

According to the arrest affidavit filed by Officer Brandon Unruh, police were dispatched to a reported domestic incident at 102 Riverside Drive around 8:20 p.m. Monday. The victim was reporting the man, later identified as Richardson, had a gun.
