Knife Used in Attempted Burglary on Saturday

Police are investigating a potential burglary in Upper Providence.

UPPER PROVIDENCE — A borough resident stopped a burglary at his own residence when he engaged a robber armed with a knife, according to police.

 Around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 4, the resident of a home on the 100 block of Rosemont Lane discovered a man attempting to break into a vehicle in his garage, according to Upper Providence Township Police. The resident confronted the intruder and suffered “numerous superficial lacerations” when he tried to stop the knife-wielding suspect, police said.
