A look at last week's police activity in Limerick Township and Royersford

Limerick

logged 254 incidents between Aug. 22-28. Of the incidents, 19 were deemed false alarms.

Among the calls to which the police responded were the following incidents of note.

Two Cases of Public Drunkenness

The department reported two cases of public drunkenness in the area last week, including one during the heavy storms.

On Aug. 28 around 5:52 p.m., Chris Vuotto made a call about his brother, Leonard, 34 of Limerick, who had been dropped off at his home earlier in the day by police. Vuotto reported his brother left his home on Fawn Court.

Responding Officer Brian Tyler found Leonard walking down Metka Road in the rain. When asked to stop, Leonard told the officer that he could walk where he wanted. After repeated attempts to stop him, Tyler exited the vehicle to talk to him. Leonard indicated he had gotten into a physical altercation with his brother earlier but wouldn't elaborate. After being taken to the Pottstown Police Department, he was cited for public drunkenness.

Another incident of public drunkenness happened earlier in the week on Aug. 24 around 3:50 p.m. at . Scott Alan Parke, 53 of Royersford fell inside the store, bled from the mouth and nose and was declining treatment by Trappe Ambulance. He was found intoxicated with a .14 BAC. His daughter, who was also at the store, transported him home after responding Officer Christopher Nestler said he would cite Parke by mail.

Solstice Hit Again, Suspect Not Found

Another retail theft came out of Solstice on Aug. 22 at 7:13 p.m., but the offender was not found. The stolen item was a $275 pair of Gucci sunglasses.

The description of the suspect is a black male wearing a grey polo, dark jeans and a black "beret" style hat. He was with a second black male, wearing a Nike t-shirt and dark jeans, who distracted the employee.

Strange Domestic Call Leads Nowhere

Marc Ciccarella, 34, of Linfield made a call to police at 7:17 p.m. on Aug. 24. He was claiming his ex-girlfriend and her friends were at his house doing drugs and damaging property. Police found Ciccarella's ex-girlfriend and her friend watching television with their babies.

Ciccarella later told police he hoped they would find them doing something illegal so he could kick them out and insisted police evict them now. Police responded by telling him the girls were given until Aug. 31 to comply with the current eviction notice and could not supersede the order.

Royersford

The Royersford Police Department did not send in reports this week.
