Phila. Man Uses Fraudulent Card in Outlets Purchases

On Jan. 21 at 3:48 p.m., responding Officer Timothy DiGregorio was dispatched to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets for a retail theft in progress. He was notified that a fraudulent credit card was just used at by a black male wearing a black shirt, khakis, brown boots and a full beard. The card was used to purchase a shirt and a $100 gift card, totaling $116.32.

Representatives of Izod indicated the only way they knew the card was fraudulent was because the manager at Solstice Sunglasses called and said he tried to use the card to purchase sunglasses, but was denied. The manager noticed he was carrying an Izod bag and called immediately.

DiGregorio was told by mall security that the man was by Columbia walking toward Lot P. He was approached and was told he was under investigation for credit card fraud. The man took out his wallet and pulled out what was later determined as a counterfeit Pennsylvania driver's license. Police found a valid driver's license after he was detained, revealing him as Nathan Edward Lambert, 41 of Philadelphia.

Lambert was found in possession of six Wachovia Visa cards and each had poor quality security strips. He was transported for processing and holding. Each account number from the credit cards was checked with Wachovia and none of them existed.

It was found he also purchased jeans, a shirt and a $100 gift card from ($199.98), a handbag and wallet from ($354.46) and a $150 gift card from Lucky Brand Jeans in Marlton, N.J.

Lambert was arraigned on Jan. 22 and committed to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail at 10-percent.

Spring-Ford Student Sent Home for Disorderly Conduct

On Jan. 18 at 12:28 p.m., responding Officer Pat Roche was dispatched to , as the principal was requesting a student be removed from the premisis.

Roche met with Doug Reigner at the school while the student, Michael DeMarco, 18, of Mont Clare, was in custody and cooperating.

Reigner indicated DeMarco was given an order by a teacher in the gym and DeMarco responded with vulgar retorts. A five-day suspension was issued to the student and he became infuriated with Reigner, pulling his shirt off in an aggressive manner.

Feeling threatened, Reigner called police, while DeMarco walked through the school and through the gym. He had to be restrained by teachers. DeMarco admitted he used profanity after being advised not to bounce a ball several times. He was told by the officer that he was not welcome back on school property that day. He was dropped off near his home and issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

Girl Steals Xbox Kinect at Costco for her Brother

On Jan. 19 at 1:26 p.m., responding Officer Shawn Pancoast was dispatched to for a retail theft. He was notified the woman, Olivia Gallagher, 19 of Pottstown, was in custody.

Loss prevention reported Gallagher was seen taking an Xbox Kinect system, going to another aisle and concealing it in a large handbag. She then left the store without paying for the item before being stopped and identified by loss prevention. She said she was going to give the system to her brother.

Gallagher was transported to Pottstown Police Department for processing and housing. She had four prior arrests since February 2011 that were "Act 64" related, which is the Controlled Substances, Drugs, Device, and Cosmetic Act.

She was arraigned at 7:28 p.m. on the same night via video and bail was set at $5,000 unsecured. Her preliminary hearing was Thursday at 9 a.m.

Royersford

The submitted the following incidents of note.

Corporal Bit by Lost Dog

Corporal Thomas Nerlinger responded to a report of a found dog on Jan. 21 at 4:29 p.m. While en route, he was advised that the dog bit someone inside the house. Nerlinger reported the dog was let outside and was not aggressive but was acting odd and seemed scared.

A neighbor came outside and offered a leash. While trying to hook the leash on the dog's collar, it bit Nerlinger's upper left thigh. He distanced himself and drew his Taser. The dog also backed away. A male came over during the interaction and said he had been looking for the dog, stating the dog jumped the fence. He was able to make contact with the dog, but the dog would not walk. The man asked Nerlinger to try to make contact with the dog's owner.

Nerlinger ran the owner's name and found him at his address. When they returned to the location, the other man no longer had control of the dog and was bleeding. He said the dog, named "Rocky" saw another dog and bit him. The owner's son came to pick the dog up and he got right in the car. It was found that the dog's license had expired in 2010.

One person was taken to the hospital in the incident. It was indicated upon further investigation that the dog had bit osmeone on Dec. 19, 2011 and was supposed to be put down, but never was. Nerlinger reported the dog will be put down after the newest incident.

Alcohol Found in Car with Underage Occupants

On Jan. 15 at 11:35 p.m., responding Officer Joe Oberholtzer stopped a vehicle for a license plate lamp out of service and a malfunctioning third brake light. Godin approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver.

While speaking with the driver, Officer Oberholtzer observed a bottle of Disaronno alcohol under the driver seat. All occupants were removed from the vehicle. The driver, Dominic Olock, 18, was responsible for two 17-year-old passengers. None of the occupants were under the influence of alcohol.

Olock was cited for possession of liquor while under the legal age. The two juveniles were released to legal persons.

Property Damaged, Person Flees

On Jan. 26 at 10:06 a.m., an unknown person drove through the yard of a 45-year-old man of Royersford, damaging the man's front lawn. The victim's home is on the 1400 block of N. Gravel Pike in Lower Frederick.

The unknown actor(s) shouted profanity during the incident and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
