Rofo Bank Robber Apprehended in Virginia

The search for the robber of National Penn Bank in Royersford has come to an end in Virginia Thursday.

The following release was sent in by Chief Kevin Schurr:

Around noon today, the Royersford Police Department was contacted by the Virginia Sheriffs Department, located in Spotsylvania, Va., that their agency had in custody and under arrest one Justin Ryan McKain. [McKain in Royersford last week].

McKain was apprehended after committing an armed bank robbery in Virginia earlier today. Mckain committed an armed robbery at an unnamed financial institution in Spotsylvania and fled to a local motel where he was staying.

McKain changed his clothes and attempted to flee the area by use of a local cab, but was apprehended shortly thereafter. McKain will be detained in the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Fredericksburg, Va. Royersford Police Chief Kevin Schurr was in contact with the appropriate authorities in the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office regarding filing appropriate extradition paperwork for the fugitive.

It is believed McKain will not be extradited until the local authorities of Virginia are finished with him. No further details on the armed robbery in Virginia are available.
