Zales Armed Robbery Under Investigation

The Zales Outlet store at Philadelphia Premium Outlets was robbed at gunpoint last night around 8:27 p.m. according to an official press release from the Limerick Police Department.

The report says that two men entered the store at the aforementioned time and began looking at jewelry. The first man to enter asked to see engagement rings, while the second asked to see tennis bracelets.

What happened next would result in the robbery of the store, which included a large number of jewelry. Items included "several solitaire engagement rings, enhancers, fancy engagement rings, quads, and solitaire engagement rings with side diamonds. Most of the rings were white gold, including a 2 carat diamond engagement ring."

Police said an additional itemized list pending.

The robbery occurred after the first man asked to see the SKU number on one of the engagement rings. As the clerk tended to the first man, the second man pulled a black handgun on two store associates. Both were then directed to go to the back room of the store while the two men fled the scene by calmly walking out the door with the stolen goods.

The first suspect is described as a black male, thin build with a possible goatee or beard. He was wearing a green Phillies cap, jeans, a green and white striped polo shirt and could have been wearing glasses.

The second suspect is described as a black male, thin build with a long beard. He was wearing a red Phillies cap, a Nike t-shirt, shorts and Aviator glasses.

Police are reporting a similar incident occurred at the Kay Jewelers in Cherry Hill, N.J. back on Mar. 23, and the Zales Outlet in Jackson, N.J. on June 29.
